New Nikon Z Series Lenses

Nikon has just announced its two newest Z series lenses: the NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR and the NIKKOR Z 70-180mm f/2.8.

NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR

So much reach. So much versatility.

Capture thrilling photos and videos of wildlife, sports, aircraft and more with Nikon’s farthest reaching zoom lens for Z series mirrorless cameras. Comfortable and balanced for quick handheld shooting. Durable and weather sealed for rough conditions. Sharp and clear across the entire 180-600mm zoom range, and compatible with teleconverters for up to 2x more reach.

Powerful 180mm-600mm range. At its widest setting, the NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR is great for locating your subject. With a mere quarter turn of the zoom ring, you can reach all the way to 600mm for tight framing with beautiful background compression.

Comfortable handheld shooting. The NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR is among the lightest super-telephoto zoom lenses in its class*, and since it doesn’t expand/retract, it handles the same at every zoom position.

Versatile close focusing. With a minimum focus distance of just 4.27 ft at the 180mm zoom position and a large 0.25x reproduction ratio, you can turn an unexpected close encounter into a once-in-a-lifetime photo or video.

NIKKOR Z 70-180mm f/2.8

Essential f/2.8 telephoto zoom, smaller than ever.

The NIKKOR Z 70-180mm f/2.8 is one of the most popular focal length/aperture combinations of all time. Enough reach for wildlife, sports and events, but also wide enough for portraits, landscapes and everyday shooting. Beautiful background blur. Outstanding low-light performance. All in a lightweight, compact size—and price—that defies convention.

Beautifully blurred backgrounds. The shallow depth of field of the f/2.8 aperture combines with the natural compression of the telephoto focal length for a stunning three-dimensional effect.

More detail in low light. On a Full-frame/FX-format Z series camera with in-body image stabilization, you can slow down shutter speeds to gather even more light without causing camera blur or raising ISO settings.

Macro-style close focusing. Get as close to your subject as 10.68 in. at the 70mm zoom position and 2.79 ft. at the 180mm zoom position for photos and videos that reveal the smallest details.
