WEST PHOTO RENTAL POLICY Welcome to West Photo Rental. We offer a wide variety of cameras, lenses and lighting equpiment, both digital and film. The renter is expected to know the operations and limitations of the items they rent. If there is an equipment problem or failure that we are not able to duplicate, all rental charges apply. Failure to understand the proper operation of equipment will not be accepted as reason for non-payment of rental charges. In the event of verifiable equipment failure, West Photo liability is limited to the rental charges only. West Photo reserves the right to refuse rental service without reason. Hours: Rental service is available from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Rates: Equipment picked up after 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and returned by 12:00 noon on the second day after pick up is billed for one day. Equipment picked up Friday after 3:00 p.m. and returned Monday before 12:00 noon is billed for one day. Our weekly rate (seven consecutive days) is billed at 3.5 times the daily rate. Our monthly rate is billed at 12.25 times the daily rate. No half day rates are available. The minimum rental charge is five dollars. Reservations: Reservations will be accepted up to thirty days in advance. Security Deposit: Customers who do not have an open account with West Photo will be required to show a current ID and leave a security deposit in the form of a check/credit authorization equal to the deposit value of the equipment being rented. If the deposit value of the rental exceeds $1000, an insurance binder may be required. Credit cards are not recommended as a deposit, though they are accepted. If you decide to use a credit card, the deposit amount will be deducted from your spending limit for a period of time controlled by the issuing credit card company; typically a week to ten days. If you decide to use a check, your ID must match the information on the check and that the information must be current. Written purchase orders from established businesses, institutions or government agencies may be accepted as a deposit at our discretion. Please make arrangements at least a week in advance. **PLEASE NOTE: 100% of the deposit is returned to the customer upon receipt of the equipment rented on the agreed upon return date. If in the event that the items you rent are not returned, we reserve the right to deposit the check or authorize a charge on a credit card left as deposit. ** Equipment Condition: Insurance is the sole responsibility of the renter. West Photo inspects all equipment for damage upon return. Any damage to the equipment will be charged to the renter. West Photo recommends that the renter inspects the equipment condition upon pick up and tests the equipment before going to the job Digital Equipment: West Photo strives to provide the latest in digital photographic technology in its rental department.
